When Vaniene Hardy graduated from Medical College of Virginia (now Virginia Commonwealth University College of Health Sciences) with her Bachelors in Physical Therapy, she knew she wanted to help others lead healthy and active lifestyles. Several years later, in 1984, Vaniene, then the Director of Rehab for Southside Community Hospital had a dream to provide truly patient-focused, therapist-managed rehabilitation services for long term care facilities in Virginia. And RMI was born -- a unique company that put patients and caregivers at the forefront of the business model.
Today, over 30 years later, RMI is a recognized leader in Virginia and throughout the Mid-Atlantic area for providing multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to assisted living, skilled nursing and outpatient centers. In the past three decades, RMI has been honored to serve over 1,000,000 patients, as well as established and advanced the careers of over 2000 therapists.
RMI continues to rank as a provider of choice and an employer of choice by maintaining our focus on what really matters -- making lives better, for our team members, our clients and our patients.
In an industry of constant change, RMI has held steadfast to our core values. We proactively adapt to changes in the industry, whether they are new Medicare regulations or state-of-the-art therapy modalities. Our ability to change and adapt is a key to our success.
Additionally, RMI heavily invests in the welfare, growth and satisfaction of our team members. From our mentorship programs to our continuing education, we ensure that our clinicians and support teams have the tools and knowledge they need to provide outstanding results.
At RMI, we are much more than a therapy provider - we are extraordinary!
