Senior Regional Clinical Manager
Samantha Merritts, MPTSamantha Merritts, MPT , received her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. She joined RMI in March 2004. Prior to her promotion as Regional Clinical Manager, she acted in as a manager in multiple assisted living facilities. She was then promoted to the role of Start-up Specialist. During her time as a start up specialist she ensured the smooth and profitable transition of new facilities. She received the Rookie of the year award in 2005 and Therapist of the Year in 2006. She received these awards as a result of her outstanding clinical performance as a therapist and manager as well as her ability to ensure success with new and existing business.
Samantha has been in the long term care industry for 10 years. She has served as a physical therapist and program manager in both skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Prior to her employment with Rehab Management, Samantha developed a wide range of clinical skills serving in team management roles in various settings including geriatrics, home health, and pediatrics.
Samantha is a certified clinical instructor through the APTA. She has attended many courses on wheelchair seating and positioning, fall management, and clinical approaches to treat the elderly. She has also developed programs and in-service material regarding multiple programs to enhance therapy with the elderly population.
