RMI Occupational Therapists are industry leaders in helping patients upgrade or relearn their activities of daily living (ADL’s), which include eating, bathing, dressing, homemaking and using the bathroom. Your RMI Occupational Therapist is a vital member of your facility’s care team, working together with your staff and other care providers.
Using RMI customized treatment interventions, our therapists work with our patients to maximize their ability to engage in daily life.
- Training to improve ability to complete daily tasks.
- Fabricating a customized splint to improve hand function.
- Helping build physical endurance and strength.
- Recommending equipment for the facility or home discharge to help complete tasks, such as dressing, bathing and meal preparation.
- Assisting and helping compensate for vision and memory loss.
- Educating facilities and families on ways to prevent problems from patient’s injury or medical conditions.
- Suggesting home or facility modifications that may improve safety.
- Most importantly, providing activities that rebuild the self confidence and self-esteem of the patients we serve.
